Join us in Axis on Saturday 22 August to hear Ballymun artist Fiona O’Brien talking about her exhibition, Urban Landscapes.

A long-time Ballymun resident, Fiona has turned her experience of living in an area that is constantly changing into a vibrant new body of paintings.

Inspired by Ballymun's buildings, construction, changing spaces and everyday surroundings, as well as music, nature, weather and the energy of urban life, Fiona's work is full of colour, texture and movement. The exhibition also reflects on more personal experiences of change, loss and renewal.

Come along to hear Fiona talk about her journey as an artist, her connection to Ballymun, and how the places and experiences around us can become the starting point for creative work. The talk is free and open to all.
