Sweet About Me

Time: 11:30am & 8pm
Tickets: €15 / 12
‘Sweet About Me’ follows 18-year-old Bernadette as she struggles with a spectrum of eating disorders, a volatile relationship with a controlling mother and a body image to die for. As she spirals through an addiction treatment centre, Bernadette encounters all manner of characters, battling with their own demons who will test, enrage and push her to her limits. It will take a lot of shouting for her to realise that she has a voice of her own.
Written and performed by award winning theatre maker Jacinta Sheerin, ‘Sweet About Me’ is a hard hitting look at body image and addiction, told in her signature style of wicked humour and master storytelling.
Jacinta was co-creator of the box office smash hit, ‘Waiting for IKEA’ and the award winning, ‘I’m not ADHD, I’m BOLD!’ This is her first solo show. This tour is supported by The Arts Council and Pavilion Theatre.
