The TY art students from St Michaels are breaking out of the confines of the art class to create an Art Garden on an unused plot of land on the school grounds. They will creatively engage with Ceramic Artist Pat Rafferty and our Poet Laureate and past pupil Paula Meehan. Using a combination of ceramics and recyclable materials as well as incorporating the text of Paula’s poetry, they will transform this area into a magical Art Garden. Cast faces will hold plants which will take the place of hair along with birds, butterflies, and a variety of animals, flowers, tropical trees and an outdoor curtain made from the ends of plastic bottles.
