We are delighted to announce that

Aoife Eileen Spillane-Hinks

is the latest axis associate artist.

Aoife is a resident of Whitehheadshot.JPGall and is a theatre director who works in Ireland and the United States.
She is the co-founder of Then This Theatre and an associate artist with PICT Classic Theatre (Pittsburgh, USA).
Aoife trained as a director on the Rough Magic SEEDS programme. She holds a BA in Folklore and Mythology from Harvard University and an MA in Drama and Theatre Studies from NUI Galway. She has taught directing in NUI Galway’s MA programme and acting at the Gaiety School of Acting, and currently teaches at the Lir Academy.
Axis will be giving space and development resources to Aoife as she explores new ideas, projects and work. These supports will include hot desk, writing and development / rehearsal space. Aoife will also develop her one to one performance coaching during her time here as an axis creative business incubation.

Aoife has curated and directed events for the Abbey Theatre Community and Education Department, for the International Literature Festival Dublin, and for the Royal Irish Academy of Music.
