Cultural Adaptations Transnational Visit
axis is a partner on a two year action research project funded by the European Union’s Creative Europe programme called Cultural Adaptations. Cultural Adaptations is a partnership project bringing together cultural and adaptation organisations (from Scotland, Ireland, Belgium and Sweden) to explore culture’s role in society’s adaptation to climate change.
Axis and CODEMA (Dublin’s Energy Agency, representing DCC) are the project partners in Dublin.
This week we are hosting a 4 day programme here in Dublin for our European partners from Thursday 12th – Sunday 15th March 2020, that includes a series of meetings, site visits and workshops.
As part of the project we have an interesting event in the Mansion House for artists, cultural organisations, local authorities and those interested or working in the area of climate change. We are keen for a rich mix of people to be involved so we can co-create how to respond and adapt creatively to climate change, seeking new business models and opportunities for all. The event is focussed on;
- Exploring how artists can help provide new ways of thinking, fresh perspectives and different approaches to the challenges of adapting to climate change
- Developing a methodology for local cultural organisations to enable them to develop and implement climate change adaptation strategies
