cambridge junction 0Lord knows we can talk all day long about our work here in axis…

So it was great to spend the afternoon in the company of - Cambridge Junction, a live music and arts venue in Cambridge, UK and Diverse Actions (UK) who develop programmes to increase the visibility of black people in the arts.

Our UK guests (Creative Learning Managers, Development Managers, In-house Producers, Community Producers, Operation Teams, Front of House staff etc) all 8 of them popped over to Dublin for two days to explore the arts centre scene in Ireland to see what they can learn from what we do here in axis. Following a tour of axis building, we then dived into some refreshing, meaty and cracking discussions about the impact of Brexit on the arts, what's the trick in engaging local audiences, making things happen by boxing clever, arts and mental health and so much more. It was great to reflect on the work we do here in axis and the creative magic that exist in Ballymun. And it’s also nice to know that the work we do is sparking interest across the pond.
