Last week has been a mixed bag of activities. Kicking off my week, the time had finally come for the start of the AxisXFringe programme which was a collaboration between Dublin Fringe Festival, Red Bear Productions and Axis:Ballymun. Our 9-young people met at Fringe headquarters, getting to have some one on one time with Tracey Martin and John Dennehy of Red Bear and Niamh Ní Chonchubhair and Leigh Hussey of Axis. We got to know one another, heard about how this programme came about, laughed a lot, bonded straight away as a group and embarked on our adventure to go see our first show. I have quite the unique part to play in this programme, because I’m not only participating in the programme but also blogging about our trips and all our antics; so, keep your eye out for that.

Today marks the end to a very busy first week here at Axis. In the past week I have come up with design ideas for some amazing spaces at our Otherworld festival, I got to sit in on some meetings for Positive Ageing Week, which proved very interesting. I've also been given some projects to work on over the next few weeks, putting my marketing and communication skills to the test. But just because the work week is over doesn't mean the fun stops there! This Sunday will mark the start of the Axis x Fringe project which I am very grateful to be apart of. Axis X Fringe is a collaboration between the Dublin Fringe Festival, Red Bear Productions and Axis offering 10 young people tickets to see 7 shows in the festival, not only do I get to see some great shows but I'll be blogging about these trips too. Tune in next week to keep update with my adventures.
